OUR SEASON:

WORK WEEK:
We work Monday through Thursday typically. We don’t usually work weekends and have major holidays off. We usually work 10-hour days Monday through Thursday and reserve Friday for extra work and overtime as needed.

Intermediate Landscape Architect/Designer

Offices in the Colorado High Country – Eagle and Summit Counties, near Vail and Breckenridge – plus a new option to work remotely from Denver.

  • From 2 to 8+ years of experience in landscape architecture, design, or design-build, including some experience with high-end residential or resort projects
  • Experience with all phases of design and project documentation, including construction details
  • Competency with grading and drainage design, as well as civil/structural engineering coordination
  • Understanding of construction processes, and ability to work through site issues as they arise
  • Skill in hand-sketching and illustration is a plus
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD. Experience with Photoshop, SketchUp, and Lumion is a plus
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and visual — with clients, architects, consultants, and contractors
  • Understanding and appreciation for providing a high-quality product and service to the client for all levels of projects

Tree Care Sawyer / Climber

Salary: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
Description: A Sawyer Climber ascends trees to safely remove trees / branches and lower them to the ground through rigging techniques. Employees will be required to perform physical labor, haul slash, lift logs, load chipper, and maintain a safe work site. Minor maintenance on chippers, chainsaws and vehicles are sometimes required. Position requires the use of handsaws, chainsaws, ladders, and other tools related to the arboriculture/forestry discipline. Employees with be expected to climb trees through use of spurs and bucket trucks. Daily work activities will be provided by the Crew Boss / Foreman.

Essential Job Elements:

Abide by all safety rules and policies of Ceres Landcare, LLC.
Works under supervision of tree Crew Boss / Foreman.
Drives trucks and operates other equipment as assigned.
Keeps trucks and other assigned equipment in neat and orderly condition.  Reports need for repairs and servicing of trucks and assigned equipment to Crew Boss.
Performs related work as assigned.
Proficiency in bucket truck operations and safety.
Estabilishes and promotes drop zones.
Uses a chainsaw, pole saws, and hand saws to cut trees and branches at height.
Proficiency in safe rigging techniques.
Communication with Groundsmen.
Must be proficient in: Rope and saddle climbing, use of climbing spurs, modern climbing and rigging tools / techniques.
He/She climbs trees, cuts branches and drops/lowers them to the ground with ropes and lines.

Description:  Plant Health Care Technician 1 is achieved having earned a Certified Operator license from the Colorado Dept. of Agriculture. Plant Health Care Technician 1 is responsible for the efficient and appropriate application of pesticides to address plant health care issues as identified by a staff arborist or plant health care coordinator.  Successful candidates must be physically fit and utilize all appropriate safety protective equipment to adhere to the company’s safety policies.   

Supervised By: Plant Health Care Operations Supervisor 

Essential Job Elements: 

Properly identify and diagnose insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and pest prone areas. 

Communicate with and educate the client regarding the diagnosis and the prescribed pest control and fertilization service. 

Drive specialized PHC trucks. 

Practice various PHC treatments such as: fertilization, soil amendments, pest and disease control measures. 

Perform deep root injections, watering, and other PHC services. 

Utilize environmentally friendly products to perform PHC treatments. 

Prepare/mix pesticide sprays and other PHC solutions for treatments. 

Assist in scheduling PHC treatments with Operations Supervisor. 

Provide diagnostics and recommendations for biotic and abiotic conditions affecting trees and shrubs. 

Perform prescribed integrated pest management and fertilization of trees and shrubs using spray, granular and injected products. 

Assist tree crews performing tree removals, tree pruning, and stump grinding operations, as needed. 

Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Equipment, Machine and Tool Use: 

Choose and load necessary daily equipment. 

Perform daily inspections of equipment and vehicles. 

Utilize specialized mechanical instruments such as: an air spade, skid steer, stump grinder, root exploration devices, and root pruners. 

Perform basic maintenance of equipment and tools used. 

Ensure PHC trucks are prepared, filled, and refueled for each workday. 

Safe Work Practices: 

Choose and inspect personal protective equipment. 

Inspect worksites and identify risks. 

Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic. 

Participates regularly in all job site safety meetings. 

Reporting and Communication: 

Prepare and maintain records of pesticide use and monitoring forms, work orders, and equipment maintenance records. 

Prepare and post public notices for pesticide applications or PHC treatments.

Working Conditions: 

Ceres Landcare performs services for a wide variety of clients in diverse locations from private gardens and backyards, to public spaces, or remote areas. 

Majority of work time is spent in the field operating machinery or hand tools, performing PHC/arboricultural services, clean-up, and being courteous to customers. 

Physical fitness and ability to work outside is required, with duty modification during specific seasons throughout the year. 

Office work and time needed to complete paperwork and attend meetings/training. 

Limited work in wind, rain and snow weather conditions. 

Qualifications: 

Minimum Education: High School Diploma. 

A valid driver’s license and clean MVR.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Commercial Account Managers coordinate sales between business units, completing duties such as meeting potential clients, determining their needs, presenting products training, attending industry events and responsible for a portfolio of commercial landscape maintenance accounts. We are looking for someone with drive, ambition, and highly motivated Sales Associate with extensive customer service to become part of our integrated commercial sales team. This includes maximizing customer satisfaction and ensuring delivery of quality services while achieving goals for revenue, profitability, and contract renewals through effective management.
 
 
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Business Development – soliciting new commercial maintenance contracts. 
• Building an outstanding production team – developing employees and working with employees to build and support a team environment. 
• Managing and organizing production, exceed budget projections, client retention, people, and processes into a dynamic well-functioning business unit for our high-quality service including understanding basic horticultural concepts and always working efficiently and safely.

• Selling enhancement services to improve site conditions; coordinating with other branch employees and customers to ensure that enhancement work is completed successfully, on budget and on time.

• Customer service experience – able to identify and resolve customer concerns. 
• Maintaining open lines of communication with internal staff.
