Ceres Landcare

Landscape design, construction, and stewardship in Colorado’s mountains

Ceres is a landscape design, construction, and stewardship firm rooted in the mountain communities of Colorado.

Our work is defined by landscapes that feel grounded, intentional, and deeply connected to place.

From our base in the central Rockies, Ceres has designed, built, and cared for landscapes across Colorado’s high-altitude environments and beyond. Our projects span a wide range of scales and settings — from intimate residential gardens and mountain retreats to large private estates, shared community spaces, and complex alpine sites. Regardless of size or scope, we return to a simple, enduring idea: the landscape as a living system shaped with care, where people can slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience beauty that unfolds over time.

For us, landscape is not an object, but a relationship — between people, plants, climate, and craft. We design places where the body can move naturally, the mind can settle, and ecological function is restored rather than imposed. Stone, soil, water, and plant communities are treated honestly, allowed to weather, mature, and reveal their character through the seasons.

The landscape is not only the finished work, but the process of creating it. We believe the experience of collaboration — from early concept, through construction and long-term care — matters as much as the result. Our teams bring clarity, thoughtfulness, and accountability to every phase, while leaving room for intuition, adaptation, and discovery as the land reveals itself.

Strong collaboration is essential to translating design intent into built reality. We work closely with architects, builders, engineers, artisans, and our own field crews to ensure each landscape is cohesive, durable, and deeply integrated with its surroundings. In the field, we remain hands-on — refining details, solving challenges, and honoring craftsmanship — so that the design vision is carried through with integrity.

Ultimately, a Ceres landscape is more than a beautiful setting. It is an expression of place and of the people who inhabit it. The sound of wind through grasses, the shadow of aspens across stone, the first snow settling into a garden bed — these moments invite awareness and connection. In living landscapes like these, we find not only beauty, but belonging — to the land, to our communities, and to the rhythms of the natural world.

Thoughtful landscapes, shaped by place.

What clients say

“Working with Ceres Landcare transformed our backyard into one of the most beautiful outdoor spaces in Eagle.”

When we purchased our home in Eagle, Colorado, we wanted to completely reimagine the backyard and create an outdoor environment that would feel both beautiful and natural to the surrounding landscape. We were introduced to Ceres Landcare through the manufacturer of our copper spa, who highly recommended their work. From the very beginning, it was clear that we were in excellent hands.

Working with Ceres was an exceptional experience. Adam Dudek, manager of the construction division, and Kathy Aalto, landscape architect, along with their talented team, were instrumental in bringing the project to life. Their creativity, attention to detail, and exceptional communication stood out throughout the entire process. They were responsive, collaborative, and consistently focused on delivering the highest quality work.

Ceres completely transformed our backyard. They designed and installed beautiful native plants and trees, striking rock features, fencing, and seamlessly integrated a stunning spa and magnificent fire pit into the landscape. The finished result feels perfectly suited to the mountain environment while also being incredibly functional and welcoming.

The transformation has significantly enhanced how we use and enjoy our outdoor space. What was once an ordinary yard has become a place where we gather with family and friends, relax, and truly appreciate the beauty of Eagle and the surrounding mountains. Many people who visit have told us that it is one of the most beautiful yards in Eagle.

For anyone considering a landscape project in the Vail Valley, we cannot recommend Ceres Landcare highly enough. Their professionalism, creativity, and commitment to excellence are truly outstanding.
