Small projects. Complete thinking.
Not every project needs to be large to be meaningful. At Ceres, we approach smaller projects with the same level of care, design thinking, and craftsmanship that defines our larger work. Whether it’s refining an entry, adding a pathway, adding a drip edge, or reworking a planting area, these focused interventions often have an outsized impact on how a landscape feels and functions.
We begin by understanding the broader context—how the space connects to your home, how you move through it, and how it can evolve over time. From there, we design with intention, ensuring each element feels integrated, well-proportioned, and true to place. The result is a project that stands on its own while contributing to the larger story of your landscape—thoughtful, cohesive, and built to last.
Smaller projects can often be quick to go from initial consultation to budget—sometimes we’re just working with sketches we make on site, rough measurements, and talking in broad strokes: removing an area of turf and transitioning it to native grass, addressing a small shrub bed in a highly visible view corridor, adding a non-combustible border around the house, planting a few trees. If DRB submittals are required, we will create deliverables, but often these projects can go from conception to estimation from rough sketches.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out for a consultation. If you’re invested in making landscape improvements, we’d love to help.
